Please note that today is the last day to pay your water, sewer and refuse utilities before the balance is relevied on to your taxes. All payments collected in the night deposit tomorrow morning will be considered on time. Envelopes postmarked with May 20th will be accepted until Wednesday May 22, 2019.
Please note a Public Informational Meeting has been scheduled for May 6, 2019 at 6 pm at the Village Hall for all Main Street Businesses and Property Owners regarding the potential filming of a major motion picture on Main Street in the Village of Akron.
The Village Board passed the final Budget for 2019-2020 at the April 15, 2019 Village Board meeting, please see below the Final Budget as well as the Budget Message.
Please be aware that the Department of Public Works has begun the Main Street Milling and Paving Project in the Central Business District. Please be patient and extra careful as you drive through that area as the DPW employees work to improve and update Main Street. Thank You!

It is that time of year again when the Village of Akron and Town of Newstead hold their April Household Hazardous Waste/Electronic Recycling/Shred-it event scheduled for April 13, 2019 from 9 am - noon at the Joint Facility at 12707 Clarence Center Road. This event is for Village and Town Residents only.

The Elected candidates will officially take office on Monday April 1, 2019.
