County Legislators form Volunteer Outreach Team to assist community efforts

The Erie County Legislature’s Majority Caucus has formed a Volunteer Outreach Team to assist organizations in achieving their charitable goals. Any organizations located in Erie County that are in need of volunteers are encouraged to contact the Legislature.

“There are a lot of great volunteers throughout the community, but there is also a great deal of need. Our hope is that through this new Volunteer Outreach Team we can connect with groups that may need a few extra hands to achieve their goal,” said Chairman John Mills. “Through these events, the Legislature hopes to gain a new and improved perspective on many areas of Erie County, meeting with groups to learn more about their missions.”

Organizations that are seeking volunteers for their event are asked to contact the VOT at 858-8808 or email Jessica.oneil@erie.gov to submit their event. The Legislature is also launching a new feature on its website to list volunteer opportunities, connecting those who are interested in helping with organizers. Groups that are planning volunteer events are asked to submit their information to Jessica.oneil@erie.gov be included on the calendar.
