Majority Caucus announces Erie County locations for National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

The Erie County Legislature Majority Caucus reminds residents that the next National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with several sites throughout Erie County.

"The Erie County Sheriff's Office, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration and local agencies, is assisting in this effort to collect unwanted and expired medications. By removing these prescriptions from the home, we can stop them from falling into the wrong hands, which can lead to addiction, abuse, accidental poisoning and even death. Any pharmaceutical can be dropped off, no questions asked, and all collected materials will be disposed of properly," said Majority Leader Joseph Lorigo.
