Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon visited the Colonel John B. Weber VFW Post 898 in Lackawanna Saturday to congratulate their post and the District 6 VFW Auxiliary on celebrating their 75^th anniversaries.

The District 6 VFW Auxiliary encompasses auxiliary posts in Erie, Cattaraugus, Allegany, and Chautauqua Counties and their organization regularly supports programs and services for veterans throughout the community. The Colonel John B. Weber VFW Post also serves veterans and active military members through financial support, training, educational opportunities, and a number of outreach initiatives.

Legislator Dixon said, “I was honored to meet with members of each organization and present a proclamation recognizing their 75 years of service to our community. We appreciate everything they have done on behalf of veterans and those currently serving our country.”
