Erie County Legislature Minority Leader Joe Lorigo has introduced a resolution directing Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz and the County’s Department of Health to release all relevant information regarding Coronavirus and the number of quarantined residents in Erie County.

Minority Leader Lorigo said, “The County Executive’s continued refusal to release information relating to the number of Erie County residents under quarantine is troubling.  As elected officials, we have a responsibility to maintain transparency. The County Executive was wrong to say releasing this information was illegal and he is still wrong when he says it’s inappropriate.  Erie County residents have a right to know information relating to their health and safety.  My resolution directs the Erie County Department of Health to follow the lead of New York State and other New York Counties by releasing all relevant information relating to the Coronavirus.”
