Legislator Lorigo, local schools participate in annual ‘Valentines for Seniors’ program

Erie County Legislator Joe Lorigo collected valentines made by students at a number of local schools and delivered each handmade card to senior centers throughout the community, including the West Seneca and Elma Senior Centers.

Legislator Lorigo said, “I would like to thank all of the kind, thoughtful students in my legislative district who put together valentines. The cards put smiles on many faces at the senior centers we visited. This annual program is a small gesture to make sure everyone feels appreciated on Valentine’s Day.”

The following schools in Legislator Lorigo’s district participated:

  • Clinton Elementary

  • Queen of Heaven

  • West Seneca West Middle

  • Winchester Elementary

  • West Seneca Christian School

  • Aurora Waldorf School

  • Parkdale Elementary

  • Wales Primary School

  • Elma Primary School

  • Marilla Primary School

  • H.O. Brumsted Elementary School

Cards were also delivered to the East Aurora Senior Center, Aurora Adult Day Services, Meals on Wheels, Eden Heights in West Seneca, and Elderwood in West Seneca.
