Last week, Erie County Legislator Joe Lorigo joined Aurora Town Supervisor Jim Bach to tour roads throughout the town that are in need of better maintenance from the Erie County Department of Public Works.

Legislator Lorigo and Supervisor Bach visited Behm Road, which has received a number of complaints due to a blind hill and bump at the site of a former railroad crossing.

Legislator Lorigo said, “My office has received a number of calls and complaints regarding Behm Road and the danger it poses to drivers. After a few accidents in the area, something needs to be done. I have contacted the Department of Public Works urging them to begin working on a solution. In the meantime, the county will soon place improved signage warning drivers of the bump and to slow down in that area.”

In addition to Behm Road, Legislator Lorigo and Supervisor Bach visited Buffalo Road.

“Buffalo Road is also in need of attention,” Legislator Lorigo added.  “Cracks, potholes, and unsafe shoulders should also be addressed by the Department of Public Works as soon as possible. Drivers and pedestrians are understandably fed up with the road’s condition.  I thank Supervisor Bach for joining me last week, and I will continue advocating for improvements throughout my legislative district. In the meantime, if you have concerns regarding a county-road, please feel free to relay information to my office at Joseph.Lorigo@erie.gov or by phone at (716) 858-8922.”
