Erie County Legislator John Mills recently presented The Children’s League Executive Director Marcol Feuz a proclamation to honor the organization for being named Springville Area Chamber of Commerce 2021 Non-Profit of the Year. The Children’s League is an off-shoot of its parent organization, The League for the Handicapped, and was formed with the belief that all children have potential to learn and grow if they are properly nurtured in a caring and educational environment.

The Children’s League provides children under the age of eight with therapeutic and special education services in their homes or in other community-based settings. The Children’s League works with children who have a variety of issues including speech/language impairment, autism, intellectual disabilities and more.

The Children’s League is supported by the Springville community including the Kiwanis. The Lions Club, Springville Griffith Institute, The Boy Scouts and many others.

Legislator Mills said, “I want to send a big congratulations and thank you to everyone over at The Children’s League—the work they do is absolutely incredible. They focus on families and help them with the challenges they face as parents with special needs children. Because of them, these children are getting the quality education they deserve.”
