Erie County Legislator Ed Rath will be holding a HEAP outreach to help Akron and residents in surrounding areas with the application process.

Those in need of assistance are encouraged to call Legislator Rath’s office at 716-858-8676 as soon as possible to schedule a phone appointment for Tuesday, November 17th. Time slots begin at 9:30 in the morning and go until 4:00 in the afternoon.

Applicants should have the following available during the appointment: income total for each household member, paystubs and/or Social Security award letter, gas and electric account numbers, and Social Security number.

Legislator Rath said, “The winter months can be long and brutal in our region—causing the temperatures to go down and our heating bills to go up. Applying for HEAP can help ease those burdens and Erie County is here to help you with the application process.”
