Erie County Legislator Ed Rath joined his mother, former New York State Senator Mary Lou Rath as she was given the Senate’s Woman of Distinction Award this week. The award was presented by Senator Mike Ranzenhofer, who represents the Senate district formerly represented by her.

Legislator Rath said, “I was honored to stand beside my mother as she received this incredible recognition. It is a well-deserved honor for an all-around wonderful person and role model. Congratulations to her and all others who were recognized!”
