Last week, Erie County Legislator Ed Rath visited Greg’s U-Pick farm in Clarence to recognize owner Greg Spoth as the Legislature’s June 2020 Citizen of the Month.

Greg Spoth founded Greg’s U-Pick Farm in 1987, a family owned and operated business that remains a staple in the Clarence community. Greg’s has more than 25 acres of crops for people to pick throughout the harvest season, including strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and pumpkins. Greg’s established a community supported agriculture program (CSA) which is a farm membership allowing people direct access to high quality fresh and healthy produce. In addition to farming, Greg’s gives back to the community by donating fresh fruits and vegetables to FeedMore WNY, and offers kids workshops and other educational programs.

Legislator Rath said, “Greg Spoth is a fixture in our local agriculture community along with his beloved family business, Greg’s U-Pick Farm. The farming industry is so important to Western New York and Greg’s goes above and beyond to bring fresh food to our tables and promoting an appreciation for agriculture. For years, families have been able to enjoy all Greg’s has to offer and we are fortunate to have such an incredible family-owned and operated farm here in our community. I thank Greg for all he has done, and wish him and Greg’s U-Pick Farm many years of continued success!”
