Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro recently announced a contract Erie County has entered into with Buffalo Homecare Inc. to vaccinate homebound residents in Erie County.
Buffalo Homecare is a licensed homecare agency which provides various services to homebound residents; they are also an authorized COVID-19 vaccinator by New York State.
The contract between Erie County and Buffalo Homecare will be fully funded by federal dollars with no county share expense.
Legislator Todaro said, “This is great news for residents in Erie County. So many of our neighbors are homebound and have absolutely no means of transportation. Through this contract, those individuals will be able to receive their COVID-19 vaccination if they so choose. It’s important to ensure everyone in our community has access to a vaccine. ”
Anyone with questions should contact the Erie County’s COVID information line at (716) 858-2929.
Additional information on the contract can be found here.
