Legislator Frank Todaro recently recognized Plum Bottom Salon as a valued and trusted small business in the Village of Lancaster and presented the owner with a proclamation to honor the business.

Owner Michelle Czech opened her new location in January 2020 at 39 Central Avenue and offers a variety of services. Czech supports the businesses of local women by allowing high school seniors to sell jewelry at the Salon to save money for college and by allowing her receptionist to make and display art on the salon walls. Czech also allows one of her seven-year-old customers to make and sell scrunchies and, in-turn, the young lady donated the proceeds to Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo.

Legislator Todaro said, “I am so honored to have Michelle Czech running such a wonderful business in my district. She not only excels at running Plum Bottom Salon and building it into the success it is today, but she goes the extra mile for other women in the community who want to earn money and even potentially kick-start their business as well—a true class act. Because of this, Plum Bottom Salon has earned outstanding reviews and many loyal customers.”

Plum Bottom Salon is part of Legislator Todaro’s Small Business Spotlight which highlights local small businesses in District 8 on Facebook.
