Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro recently honored Brian and Samantha Poules for helping bring a project to life at a park in Williamsville.

Brian, a retired municipal employee from Cheektowaga, and his daughter Samantha created brightly colored hanging cedar signage by hand that spells out “Nature Play” at the entrance of the area in Glen Park—playing with the natural theme, Poules’ signage is hung between two tree posts.

Poules said his goal was to create signage that would grab the attention of children while having a rustic and park-like feel.

Legislator Todaro said, “Thank you so much to Brian and Samantha for thinking outside of the box and helping to create a safe space for kids to unplug their devices and plug into their imaginations! The time, focus and energy you both put into this project does not go unnoticed! Because of you both, so many people will be able to have a space and simply appreciate the natural world around us!”
