Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro recently presented Cheektowaga resident Donna Alessi a proclamation to congratulate her on retirement after 49 years of service with Oishei Children’s Hospital.
Donna Alessi worked in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) as a registered nurse where she specialized in providing care and support for women who had a high-risk pregnancy and children who were born prematurely. Alessi was on standby 24/7 to respond to any urgent medical needs.
Legislator Todaro said, “Ms. Alessi has provided care and compassion for a countless number of mothers and babies and was a shining light during their most dark, difficult and delicate times. Now, it is time for her to move on to the next chapter…retirement! Thank you for your service and I wish you nothing but health and happiness in the years to come!”
