Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro recently presented a proclamation to NFTA Officer Mario Capozzi and his K9 partner Dok for working security detail at Super Bowl LV and proudly representing Western New York.

Officer Capozzi is a resident of Cheektowaga and has been employed by the Niagara Falls Transit Authority Police Department for 18.5 years. Officer Capozzi became partners with the full-bodied German Shephard 1.5 years ago. The pair specialized in detecting hidden explosives to help clear Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida before any fans arrived for game.

Officer Capozzi said, “Dok is a trained Transit Security Administration dog who has a great nose, is maturing well in his career and his favorite dog treat is chicken jerky. Dok and I were honored to be part of the NFTA transit authority team to go to Florida and be members of the Super Bowl security detail.”

Legislator Todaro said, “Thank you to Officer Capozzi and K9 Dok for travelling down to Florida and representing Western New York at Super Bowl LV. Raymond James Stadium was a much safer place because of your excellent work. Please continue to stay safe while working hard to keep those around you protected!”
