Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro joined the owners of Save A Lot in Alden to drop off 100 frozen turkeys to local food pantries.

Dave and Terri McHenry donated the frozen turkeys to Alden Meals on Wheels, Alden-Marilla Food Pantry, Lancaster Trinity Food Pantry and St. Martha’s Food Pantry.

The turkey donation from the McHenry’s is valued in at just under $2,000.

Legislator Todaro said, “It is so heartwarming to see the generosity of people like Dave and Terri McHenry. Because of their donation, our neighbors in the community will not go without a warm meal this holiday season. While it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle this time of year can bring, it is important to remember what Christmas is all about. Thank you, Dave and Terri, for being a shining example of community service. I’d like to also thank all of the volunteers at each food pantry for their hard work in keeping the shelves stocked and in order! It takes a village.”
