Erie County Legislators Ed Rath and Frank Todaro recently visited the Nativity of Mary School in Williamsvilleto recognize teacher Sandy Hamilton, the creator and star behind a virtual learning classroom for three to five year olds.

Called Mrs. Hamilton’s Classroom, it is an on-demand, one-stop-shop designed to make school fun for young kids and convenient for parents.

Together, Rath and Todaro presented a proclamation to Mrs. Hamilton for her creativity and dedication to making sure early learners get the education they deserve during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Legislator Rath said, “Mrs. Hamilton’s Classroom is genius— it is a win-win situation for both parents and young children. I want to extend a big thank you to Mrs. Hamilton for paving the way for a bright future for these young children. When they look back 10 years from now, they will always remember the opportunity you have provided for them.”

Legislator Todaro said, “Not only is Mrs. Hamilton’s Classroom a great tool for young children, but it lessens the burden on busy parents. Sandy has gone above and beyond and I’d love to see more teachers follow suit. Thank you to Mrs. Hamilton for thinking outside of the box and making virtual learning much less stressful for families.”
