Erie County Legislature Minority Leader Joe Lorigo’s resolution directing Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz and the County’s Department of Health to release all relevant information regarding Coronavirus and the number of quarantined residents in Erie County passed the Legislature unanimously Thursday afternoon.
Minority Leader Lorigo said, “While I am disappointed the language of the original resolution was amended by my colleagues in the Majority Caucus, I am pleased everyone agrees the County Executive needs to be more transparent. Again, as elected officials, we have a responsibility to maintain transparency, and Erie County residents have a right to know information relating to their health and safety. I hope our county administration will join New York State and other counties by releasing all relevant information regarding the Coronavirus.”
