The Erie County Legislature's Majority Caucus reminds residents that Elder Law Day is June 16 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Adam's Mark Hotel, 120 Church St., Buffalo.
Elder Law Day includes legal seminars, information on community-based services, and free 15-minute one-on-one attorney consultations. The seminars are led by top elder law attorneys donating their time to give older adults and their families the most up-to-date information regarding important legal issues. Subjects such as wills, the Affordable Care Act, powers of attorney, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage Plans, pooled trusts, Veteran’s benefits, to name a few, will be discussed. Participants may choose to attend three of the twelve seminars offered. In addition, a host of community agencies will also be on hand to talk with attendees and provide valuable information.
The 15-minute, one-on-one consultations with attorneys from the Bar Association of Erie County are available. To register for a consultation, call Legal Services for the Elderly at 716-853-3087, x213 (first come first served).
