Mychajliw orders review of comptroller's office

Erie County Comptroller Stefan I. Mychajliw has ordered a full review of his department to root out inefficiencies.

The review will be conducted on both the audit and accounting divisions of the department. Teresa Fraas, who was tapped by Mychajliw to serve as deputy comptroller, will review the Audit Division. Frass is a certified public accountant and the first woman to ever serve as deputy comptroller.

Gregory G. Gach, former Erie County budget director under former County Executive Chris Collins, will lead a review of the Accounting/Fiscal Division of the Comptroller’s Office.

“I am setting a strong tone with our first review,” Mychajliw said.
