Comptroller Mychajliw Accepts Ice Bucket Challenge

(Buffalo, NY) – Erie County Comptroller Stefan I. Mychajliw was nominated by State Senator Mark Grisanti, his sister Maryanne McMahon, and Lynn Dearmyer to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

Comptroller Mychajliw accepted and hopped into the cold waters of the Rath Building fountain in downtown Buffalo to complete the charitable challenge.

“At least the county is saving money by not heating the water in the Rath Building fountain. I can attest to the fact that the water is freezing cold,” said Comptroller Mychajliw.

“In addition to accepting the #IceBucketChallenge we are donating $100 to a very worthy cause,” added the Comptroller.

Mr. Mychajliw has nominated all the freshmen Legislators of the Erie County Legislature. The Erie County Comptroller has officially challenged the Honorable Ted Morton, Pat Burke, and Peter Savage.

“This can be a great opportunity to bring together legislators from both political parties to support a wonderful cause.  I’m happy to foster a warm, bi-partisan relationship amongst opposing parties through ice cold water,” said Comptroller Mychajliw.
