COMPTROLLER MYCHAJLIW TO HOST SENIOR FRAUD PROTECTION SEMINAR AT AMHERST SENIOR CENTER

Erie County Comptroller Stefan I. Mychajliw Jr. will present his “Senior Fraud Protection Program” at the Amherst Center for Senior Services to provide useful tips on how to identify and prevent common scams. The seminar will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 7 at the center, 370 John James Audubon Parkway, Amherst.

Erie County Comptroller Stefan I. Mychajliw Jr. launched an environmental friendly pilot program with three key county departments to modernize how the county’s 50,000 annual invoices are processed. The Comptroller’s Accounts Payable division, under the leadership of Comptroller Mychajliw and led by Cheryl Mekarski, is being completely revamped for the first time in 30 years.

COMPTROLLER MYCHAJLIW: ECC ENROLLMENT DECLINES, STATE’S FREE TUITION PROGRAM FAILING IN FIRST ROLLOUT

Erie County Comptroller Stefan I. Mychajliw Jr. released a report examining declining enrollment at SUNY Erie (ECC) and the significant issues this could cause in the immediate future for the college. Taking a hard look at the numbers, Comptroller Mychajliw included figures from Gov. Cuomo’s Excelsior Scholarship program that is costing taxpayers millions of dollars and still failing to increase enrollment.

Erie County Comptroller Stefan Iwan Mychajliw is the son of Polish and Ukrainian immigrants, the youngest of seven children, who grew up in blue-collar beginnings near the corner of William and Fillmore on the East Side of Buffalo.

The people of Erie County first elected Mychajliw Erie County Comptroller on November 6th, 2012. Husband to Ashley, a social worker, and proud father of Mia Theresa Mychajliw, a student at Cleve Hill.
