The Office of Comptroller has numerous cash flow concerns based on a number of factors, including the anemic year-to-date growth in actual sales tax revenue compared to the Administration’s projections.

March Sales Tax Revenue Drops Significantly

Erie County Comptroller Stefan I. Mychajliw is reporting March 2013 sales tax revenue for Erie County to be $30,856,160. This is approximately $348,955 lower than the March 2012 sales tax revenue of $31,205,115.  This figure represents a -1.12% decrease for March 2013 compared to March 2012. 

Erie County Comptroller Stefan Iwan Mychajliw is the son of Polish and Ukrainian immigrants, the youngest of seven children, who grew up in blue-collar beginnings near the corner of William and Fillmore on the East Side of Buffalo.

The people of Erie County first elected Mychajliw Erie County Comptroller on November 6th, 2012. Husband to Ashley, a social worker, and proud father of Mia Theresa Mychajliw, a student at Cleve Hill.
