Reform Plan Passes Erie County Legislature

Erie County Comptroller Stefan I. Mychajliw’s reform plan to cut patronage positions, strengthen professional accounting staff, and reduce this year’s budget by almost $100,000 was passed unanimously by the Erie County Legislature during its Thursday, March 7th, 2013 meeting.

I am reaching out concerning the recent audit conducted by the Office of Inspector General, United States Department of Homeland Security, as it pertains to the $48 million they claim FEMA should recover from Erie County as it relates to reimbursements from the “October Surprise Storm”.

Comptroller Stefan Mychajliw

Erie County Comptroller Stefan Iwan Mychajliw is the son of Polish and Ukrainian immigrants, the youngest of seven children, who grew up in blue-collar beginnings near the corner of William and Fillmore on the East Side of Buffalo.

The people of Erie County first elected Mychajliw Erie County Comptroller on November 6th, 2012. Husband to Ashley, a social worker, and proud father of Mia Theresa Mychajliw, a student at Cleve Hill.
