Breath Analysis Operator Course

This course is being offered as part of the 139th Basic Police Class, therefore, other department's enrollment may be limited.

Description:
A three day course in Breath Analysis Certification. Every officer who successfully completes this training program will be certified and will receive a Department of Health permit to operate both the Datamaster and the new DMT Datamaster being issued to departments.

- Out of county officers must provide a certificate of residency form. Please call if you need additional information
- Unless enrollment permits otherwise, agencies are limited to allow equal opportunity to this course
Please observe the Academy Dress Code:
Uniform or shirt and tie for men, proper business attire for women; blue jeans are "NOT" acceptable

As a reminder of SUNY's mandate regulations, all officers attending in-services (even off site) will need to be fully vaccinated to attend. When submitting a copy of the vaccination card, please have your officer mention the class they plan on attending. Submit copy of vaccination card to Janine Lemon at lemon@ecc.edu.

- When submitting an exemption, it will need to be submitted 10 calendar days prior to the start of the course for which you want to attend.
- If an exemption is granted, you will need to provide a negative covid test within 72 hours of the class meeting. You must bring your test result with you on the first day of class.
- Facemasks must be worn at all times on campus and in the classroom.
