The NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services Office of Public Safety is pleased to announce the availability of a DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) Refresher Course. This National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) program is designed to update law enforcement officers who are currently certified in DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing using proper procedures and protocols requisite within the NHTSA DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing program.  All officers currently certified as DWI Detection and SFST are strongly encouraged to attend.  This course will consist of classroom presentation and practiacl exercises.

Mandatory Prerequisites for attending this training are listed below:

  • Previous successful completion of the 21 hour DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Course
 
 
Please note that additional DWI Detection and SFST Refresher courses may be announced later in the year.
 
Although we have planned for large enrollment, seats are limited.  Therefore, you must receive confirmation on attendance.  Please complete the course application and have it sent no later than one week prior to the start of the course.  You may fill out the application HERE.
