Field Training Officers Course

The Erie County Law Enforcement Training Academy, with the cooperation of the Division of Criminal Justice Services, will conduct a four (4) day Field Training Officers Course.  This course is designed to train Police Officers in the methods and reporting procedures, utilized in the Supervised Field Training Program.  Upon completion they will be prepared to train and evaluate the new Police Officers, as well as prepare the appropriate written reports and oficer evaluations.

Attendees who hold a General Topics Certificate will also be able to teach this course upon successful completion.  Officers attending this course must be selected by their Chief/Sheriff/Commissioner.

Please observe the Academy dress code - patrol uniform or shirt and tie for men and patrol uniform or proper business attire for women.  Jeans are NOT acceptable.

Enrollment will be limited to twenty four (24) officers. Preference will be given to Erie County agencies / full-time police officers.
