Audience: 

This three-day course is for newly appointed detectives and a refresher for veteran detectives.  It is designed as an overview of the most important topics that detectives deal with daily.  It will cover subjects that are needed to develop a case and result in a successful prosecution.  This course will also review important updates in New York Law that will be effective January 1, 2020.

  • Out of county officers must provide a certificate of residency form.


Please Observe the Academy Dress Code:

Uniform or shirt and tie for men, proper business attire for women; blue jeans are 'NOT' acceptable
