The National Association of School Resource Officers is offering this 24 hour course designed for police supervisors and school asministrators who have the responsibility of implementing, supervising, managing and evaluating school-based police officers and/or programs. The goal is to provide managers with information, skills and strategies to develop, coordinate, and maintain a successful SRO program in their school community. Topics include:
- Leadership
- Recruiting and Evaluating SROs
- Building an SRO Program
- Working Effectively with the School Community
- School Legal Issues
- Funding
- Crisis Management Planning
This course is designed to assist new and veteran SRO supervisors to develop and maintain the best possible SRO program for their community because a strong, effective management is a cornerstone of an effective school resource officer program.
