Blasdell Woman Admits to Stealing Over $176,000 From Employer

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 55 year old Debra Michalski of 3662 South Park Avenue, Blasdell pleaded guilty yesterday afternoon to Grand Larceny in the Second Degree, as charged, and Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the First Degree before County Court Judge Sheila A. DiTullio.  These are the highest charges for which the defendant could have been convicted had she gone to trial. 

Michalski admitted that during the period between April 1, 2003 and September 2, 2011, in her position of financial trust while employed with Team Freight, Inc., 42 Hamburg Street, Buffalo, she stole a total of $176,075 and did not report those earnings on her New York State Income Tax return.

Sentencing is scheduled for June 19, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. before the Hon. Sheila A. DiTullio when Michalski faces a maximum prison sentence of 6-1/3 to 19 years.
