Buffalo man charged with murder in Guilford Street shooting of NFTA bus driver

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 24 year old Joshua Mitchell of 582 LaSalle Avenue, Buffalo, will be arraigned at 9:30 this morning before Supreme Court Justice Christopher Burns on an indictment charging him with Murder in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.

It is alleged that on February 1, 2012 in the vicinity of 384 Guilford Street, Mitchell murdered 39 year old Brian Chapman, Jr. of 384 Guilford Street, Buffalo, by shooting him.   

If convicted of this crime Mitchell faces a maximum prison sentence of 25 years to life.
