Buffalo man pleads guilty to three separate robberies in Buffalo and Cheektowaga

ERIE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY FRANK A. SEDITA, III ANNOUNCED THAT 22 YEAR OLD THOMAS CHAPPEL OF 500 COLVIN AVENUE, BUFFALO, PLEADED GUILTY YESTERDAY BEFORE COUNTY COURT JUDGE MICHAEL PIETRUSZKA TO TWO COUNTS OF ROBBERY IN THE FIRST DEGREE AND ONE COUNT OF ROBBERY IN THE SECOND DEGREE.  CHAPPELL ADMITTED TO THE ROBBERY OF FAMILY DOLLAR AT 2589 BAILEY AVENUE, BUFFALO ON MAY 24, 2010; THE ROBBERY OF GAMESTOP AT 2658 DELAWARE AVENUE, BUFFALO ON JULY 24, 2010 AND THE ROBBERY OF M&T BANK AT 4168 UNION ROAD, CHEEKTOWAGA ONAUGUST 25, 2010.

CHAPPELL COULD RECEIVE A MAXIMUM SENTENCE 25 OF YEARS IN PRISON FOR THE ROBBERY IN THE FIRST DEGREE CONVICTIONS AND A MAXIMUM OF 15 YEARS FOR THE ROBBERY IN THE SECOND DEGREE CONVICTION WHEN HE IS SENTENCED ON APRIL 16 , 2012 BEFORE THE HON. MICHAEL PIETRUSZKA.
