Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 20 year old Ahkeem R. Huffman, was arraigned this morning on a sealed indictment before Supreme Court Justice John L. Michalski charging him with two counts of Murder in the Second Degree, as well as single counts of Attempted Robbery in the First Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.  It is alleged that Huffman fatally shot Rashiene Carson while attempting to rob him at gunpoint.

Huffman remains in custody.  If convicted of these offenses, Huffman faces a maximum prison sentence of 25 years to life in state prison.  Like all defendants accused of a crime, Huffman is presumed innocent until his guilt is proven in a court of law.
