Man Charged with Robbing 7-Eleven Convenience Stores

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 18 year old Jose Stitt  will be arraigned at 9:30 this morning before Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller on an indictment charging him with Robbery in the Second Degree and Robbery in the Third Degree.

It is alleged that on February 3, 2013, Stitt robbed the 7 Eleven at 171 Grant Street in Buffalo and stole approximately $90.00.  It is further alleged that later than evening, Stitt also robbed the 7 Eleven at 959 Niagara Street in Buffalo and stole approximately $100.00.  In both cases Stitt allegedly handed a note to the cashier demanding money. 

The case is assigned to Assistant District Attorney John P. Feroleto, a member of the Tactical Prosecution Unit of the District Attorney’s Office. 

If convicted of these crimes, Stitt faces a maximum prison sentence of 22 years.
