Passenger in Car that Injured Two Daemen College Students Charged With Probation Violation

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 39 year old John Pieri of 49 Wendel Avenue, Tonawanda, New York, was arraigned today at 2:00 p.m. before Amherst Town Justice Geoffrey Klein on a violation of probation.

Pieri was the passenger of Andrea Glinski who struck and seriously injured two Daemen College students on March 7, 2009. At that time, Pieri told Glinski to leave the scene of the accident. On September 28, 2011 Pieri was convicted of Criminal Solicitation in the Fourth Degree and sentenced to 3 years probation. He also served 30 days incarceration at the Erie County Correctional Facility.

If his probation is violated, Pieri faces a maximum prison sentence of 1 year.
