Buffalo Man Arraigned On Murder Indictment For June Homicide

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 19-year-old Isaaiha Rogers of Buffalo has been arraigned by Erie County Court Judge Michael Pietruszka on an indictment charging him with one count of Murder in the Second Degree. 

It is alleged that on June 12, 2017, the defendant fatally shot 25-year-old Calvin Williams of Buffalo in the vicinity of 138 Pries Avenue in Buffalo. 

The defendant pleaded not guilty and was remanded to jail without bail. 

If convicted of the charge, the defendant faces 25 years to life in prison. 

DA Flynn commends the outstanding investigative work of the Buffalo Police Department Homicide Squad including, Detective Sgt. Carl Lundin and Detectives Patricia Wrest and Brendan Kiefer. 

Assistant District Attorney Michael D. Smith of the DA’s Homicide Bureau is prosecuting the case. 

As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
