Buffalo Man Arraigned for Sending Sexually Explicit Messages to Underage Victim

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 43-year-old Francesco Maccarrone of Buffalo has been arraigned by Buffalo City Court Judge Kevin J. Keane on one count of Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the First Degree, a Class “D” felony, and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class “A” misdemeanor. The defendant was arraigned on Sunday morning.

The defendant is accused of sending sexually explicit messages to an underage female victim in the City of Buffalo.

Maccarrone is scheduled to return on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. for a preliminary hearing. Judge Keane set bail at $10,000 cash or bond. 

If convicted on all charges, he faces a maximum of 7 years in prison.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
