Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 23-year-old Dominic Vereen of Buffalo has been arraigned before Buffalo City Court Judge Craig D. Hannah on one count of Murder in the Second Degree.

It is alleged that on June 21, 2018, the defendant fatally shot a 24-year-old man inside the defendant’s home on Wright Avenue in the City of Buffalo.

The defendant was remanded without bail.

Vereen is scheduled to report back on Monday, July 9 at 9:30 a.m.

If convicted on all charges, Vereen faces up to 25 years to life in prison.

DA Flynn commends the investigative work of Detective Christopher Sterlace, Detective Terry Supples and Detective Mark White of the Buffalo Police Department.

The case is being prosecuted by Colleen Curtin Gable, Chief of the DA’s Homicide Bureau.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
