Erie County District John J. Flynn announces that 23-year-old Daryl Bland of Buffalo pleaded guilty before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth F. Case to Manslaughter in the First Degree.

On October 26, 2016 at about 12:50 a.m., the defendant fatally shot the victim, 31-year-old Dustin Sharp of Gowanda.

Bland faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced on Tuesday, May 8 at 9:30 a.m.

DA Flynn commends the New York State Police and Seneca Nations Marshals for their thorough investigative work.

Assistant District Attorney Michael D. Smith of the DA’s Homicide Bureau and Assistant District Attorney Alicia M. Lilley of the DA’s Felony Trials Bureau prosecuted the case.
