Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. announces that 18-year old Floyd Johnson of 34 Custer St. in Buffalo has pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree before State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia. 

On June 6, 2015 in the vicinity of 486 Sherman St. in Buffalo, Johnson fatally shot 20-year-old Deon’dra Lamar Smith of Warren, Ohio. 

Sentencing is set for June 27, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. before Justice Buscaglia. 

Acting DA Flaherty commends the Buffalo Police Homicide Squad, including Detectives Christopher Sterlace, Reginald Minor, Antonio Borelli and Daniel Redmond.

Assistant District Attorneys Gary Hackbush and Meghan Leydecker prosecuted the case.
