Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. announces that 27-year-old Eric Dragone of Buffalo has been sentenced to 22 ½ years in prison followed by 5 years of post-release supervision by State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia.

On November 13, 2015,  Dragone pleaded guilty to one count of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree.

On June 13, 2015, outside of Rooftops Bar, 84 Reiman Street, Buffalo, Dragone fatally struck 44 year-old Jason Hiscutt of 415 Benzinger Street, Buffalo, with his Honda Ridgeline pick-up truck. 

DA Flaherty commends Buffalo Police Homicide Detectives Antonio Borrelli, Daniel Redmond, Christopher Sterlace, as well as Accident Investigation Unit Lieutenant Thomas Leatherbarrow for their thorough investigation.

Assistant District Attorney Gary W. Hackbush prosecuted the case.
