Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 33-year-old Daren Alexis of Buffalo has been sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to 20 years in prison plus five years post-release supervision.

On August 5, 2016, about 1:20 p.m., in the vicinity of 128 French Street, Buffalo, Alexis fatally shot the victim, 26-year-old Jadero Kelley of Buffalo.

DA Flynn commends the investigative work of Buffalo Police Captain Randall Ammerman and Homicide Detectives Michael Mordino, Richard Wagstaff, Christopher Sterlace and William Cooley.
