Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 25-year-old Eric Mitchell of Buffalo has been sentenced by Erie County Court Judge Sheila DiTullio to six years in prison and five years post-release supervision.
In May, Mitchell pleaded guilty to two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree for dealing heroin out of his home.
Back in July 2016, Buffalo and Lackawanna Narcotics Officers executed a search warrant at Mitchell's residence and recovered a quantity of heroin mixed with fentanyl, which weighed approximately one ounce. The officers also recovered two digital scales with heroin residue on them.
DA Flynn credits the outstanding investigative work of the Narcotics Bureaus of the Buffalo and Lackawanna Police Departments.
Assistant District Attorney James W. Mansour II of the DA’s Narcotics Bureau prosecuted the case.
