Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 19-year-old Kearra Bailey of Buffalo has been sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burns to ten years in prison plus five years post-release supervision for the stabbing death of a Buffalo man.

In May, Bailey pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree.

On November 20, 2016, Bailey stabbed 19-year-old Shaundez Davis, the father of her 1-year-old daughter, once in the back after an argument in her home at 937 Broadway in Buffalo.

DA Flynn commends the investigative work of Detectives Scott Malec and Mark White of the Buffalo Police Homicide squad.

John Patrick Feroleto of DA Flynn’s Homicide Bureau and Assistant District Attorney Ryan M. Flaherty prosecuted the case.
