Cheektowaga Man to Serve Prison Time for Assault and Sexual Abuse

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 23-year-old Ikeal Lardill of Cheektowaga has been sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice Paul Wojtaszek to a determinate sentence of 10 years in prison followed by 7 ½ years of post-release supervision. 

The defendant admitted that he intentionally caused serious physical injury to a female victim by cutting her with a knife in December 2018.  He also admitted that he attempted to cause physical injury to the same female victim by subjecting her to sexual contact the following month.

Lardill pleaded guilty to one count of Assault in the First Degree, a Class “B” violent felony, and one count of Attempted Aggravated Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a Class “C” violent felony, on Friday, July 19, 2019.

DA Flynn commends Detectives Michael Hockwater and Donald Strozyk, and Lieutenant Kenneth Rusin of the Cheektowaga Police Department for their work in the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Katharine S. Lavin of the DA’s Special Victims Bureau.
