Co-Defendant Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter as Accomplice in Lisbon Avenue Homicide

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 19-year-old Anthony Moore of Buffalo pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree, a Class “B” felony.  The defendant pleaded guilty on Friday, August 23, 2019.

On September 28, 2018, at approximately 12:20 a.m., 20-year-old Brandon Williams was fatally shot by 18-year-old Damoni Alexander on Lisbon Avenue in the City of Buffalo. Alexander was indicted by a Grand Jury for the crime.

Alexander pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree, a Class “B” felony, on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.

While Alexander admitted to pulling the trigger, Moore is accused of providing Alexander with the illegal gun and encouraging Alexander to shoot the victim during a verbal altercation.

Moore faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. He remains held without bail.

Alexander faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. He also remains held without bail.

DA Flynn commends the investigative work of Det. Mark White, Det. Scott Malec and Det. Dawn Lopez of the Buffalo Police Homicide Squad.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Eugene T. Partridge of the DA’s Homicide Bureau and Assistant District Attorney Rachel L. Newton of the DA’s Felony Trials Bureau.
