Defendant Pleads Guilty to Sexual Abuse of a Child

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 45-year-old Johnny M. Linton of Buffalo pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia to one count of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a Class “D” violent felony.

The defendant subjected a child victim to sexual contact at a location in the City of Buffalo on December 7, 2019.

Linton faces a maximum of 7 years in prison when he is sentenced on Monday, April 20, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. He remains held without bail.

DA Flynn commends Detective Mark Costantino of the Buffalo Police Department Special Victims Unit for his work in the investigation. 

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Rebecca L. Schnirel of the DA’s Special Victims Unit.
