Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 30-year-old Amber Lewis of Buffalo has been sentenced by Buffalo City Court Judge Kevin J. Keane to 3 years probation and a 5 year no-contact Order of Protection for the juvenile victim and mother.

On January 13, 2018, at approximately 4 p.m., the defendant’s dog attacked a 13-month-old female child inside a home on the 300 block of Watson Street in the City of Buffalo. The toddler was hospitalized for the injuries she suffered to her head, face and stomach.

Lewis pleaded guilty, as charged, to one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class “A” misdemeanor, in April 2019.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Katharine S. Lavin of the DA’s Special Victims Bureau.
