Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 46-year-old Kevin Chodkowski of West Seneca has been sentenced by Erie County Court Judge Thomas P. Franczyk to weekends in jail for 90 days for admitting he embezzled money from a youth baseball organization.

In December, Chodkowski pleaded guilty to Attempted Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree.

Chodkowski, while serving as President of the West Seneca Youth Baseball Association from 2011-2014, embezzled approximately $49,000 by making unauthorized withdrawals from its Evans Bank checking account and diverting cash from its registrations and fundraisers into his personal bank account.

Chodkowski has made full restitution.

DA Flynn commends the investigative work of Tim McPoland of Freed Maxick accounting firm, West Seneca Police Detective Ken Morano and the DA’s Confidential Criminal Investigator Michael P. Nigrelli.

Assistant District Attorney Christopher P. Jurusik of the DA’s Special Investigations and Prosecutions Bureau prosecuted the case.
